Privacy Policy

SolarQuote ("SolarQuote", "we", "us") provides a mobile app and web tools for creating and managing solar quotations. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account, either directly or via Google Sign-In. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and Google account identifier from Google — we never see your Google password.

Business/company information. Your company name, logo, address, contact details, GSTIN, and bank details, if you choose to add them to your Company Profile — these appear on the quotations you generate.

Your customers' information. When you create a quotation, you enter details about your own customer — their name, phone number, address, and similar contact information — so we can generate the quotation document. You are responsible for having the right to share that information with us for this purpose.

Usage & device information. Basic technical data (device type, app version, crash logs) to keep the service working reliably.

2. How we use this information

• To create and operate your account, and authenticate you (including via Google Sign-In).
• To generate the quotation PDFs, savings estimates, and reports you request.
• To let you invite and manage team members on a shared account.
• To process subscription purchases and manage your plan.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the service.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that make SolarQuote work:

• Google Firebase — for Google Sign-In authentication.
• MongoDB — our database provider, for storing your account and quotation data.
• Google Play Billing — for processing subscription payments, once in-app purchases are enabled. Google's own privacy policy governs the payment details it collects.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SolarQuote, our users, or others.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and quotation data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at support@filesathi.com and we'll process your request.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@filesathi.com.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage of authentication credentials and encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

SolarQuote is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll provide additional notice in the app.
